With less than a month remaining until the first ever British University Championships, Lord Sebastian Coe has tipped its competitors to go on and become the stars of London 2012

Ex BUSA competitors Kirsty Balfour (Heriot Watt) and Liam Tancock (Loughborough) have been selected to represent Great Britain at the Beijing Olympics. Balfour for the Women's 200m Breaststroke and Tancock the Men’s 200m backstroke

With Simeon Williamson (Middlesex) having recently been part of the second wave of athletes selected for next month’s World Indoor Championships, nine of the selected athletes have either gone through, or are still participating in, the BUSA athletics programme.

On Sunday 24 February Durham University Boat Club recorded some of the most remarkable results as they swept aside the field to win 11 out of 14 events at the BUSA Rowing Championship and Novice Head.
