  • Toni Minichiello is confirmed as the keynote speaker for the BUCS Coaching Development Day at the University of Birmingham on 1st March 2011.

  • BUCS are pleased to announce that James Birdsey has been appointed in the newly formed position of Regional Development Manager.

  • Sportivate is a £32 million National Lottery Funding stream which will capture the excitement of sport and London 2012 to provide attractive and sustainable sporting opportunities for participants in the sport of their choice within their community.

  • ‘Places People Play’ is a £135 million initiative which has been made possible by the Government’s National Lottery reforms and will bring additional funding into grassroots sport.  It will be delivered by Sport England, in partnership with the British Olympic Association, the British Paralympic Association and the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

  • Team GB’s Gemma Cooper was celebrating on Sunday after achieving her best ever performance in an international competition in the Short Track 1000m at the 25th Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey.
