    Canoeist David Florence picked up Britain’s fourth medal of the Games in the men’s C1 single slalom event following a tremendous final run that saw him leapfrog Poland’s Krzysztof Bieryt and Stanislav Jezek, of the Czech Republic, to secure second place.

    Music graduate, Naomi Folkard has progressed through to Thursday’s (14 August) archery quarter final following a bittersweet victory over GB team-mate Charlotte Burgess.

    England have beaten Scotland in their final match to take the overall British Universities Golf Home International 2008 title. England won their last three singles matches to complete a 7½-4½ victory over last years winners. Northern Ireland and Wales are still playing each other, trying to avoid the wooden spoon.
