  • BUSA Cross Country

    Over 1150 university students will head west to Swansea this weekend for the BUSA Cross Country Championships with a few students looking to impress before the World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh on 30 March.

    An emphatic championship victory cemented Nottingham Trent University’s place as the country’s premier canoeing university at the weekend. Students paddled their way to three gold, two silver and two bronze medals to win the overall title at the BUSA Canoe Slalom Championships in Teesside.

    Loughborough Students (men) were crowned kings of the indoor game as Hockey’s Big Day concluded yesterday at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

  • Tim Yarnall

    Tim Yarnall (Loughborough), who will be playing at the BUSA Table Tennis Individual Championships, played at the Slovenian Pro Tour Tournament in Velentje on 15-18th January in what was a highly fierce table tennis competition.

  • Hockey

    Following a successful trails day at the University of Birmingham on Sunday 20 January, the head coaches have selected their training squads for both the men's and women's English University Hockey teams. The final squad competing at the British University Games will be selected from this training squad.

    Britain’s most successful female rower, Katherine Grainger, is attempting to go one better in Beijing this year than her previous two Olympic silvers and insists that if she ends up on top of the podium it will be down to her golden university days.
