The annual BUCS Alpine Championships took place between the 2nd and 8th April in the sunny resort of Tignes, France. Hosted by the British Universities Snowsports Council (BUSC), the BUCS Alpine Snowsports Championships 2011 saw more than 2000 students descend on the French Alps for a week of racing and competing. With a multitude of events on offer, the competition was fierce between the 40 competing universities.

In April 2011, all member institutions of BUCS were invited to respond to a questionnaire about the trial of the integrated league and cup programme during the 2010/11 season for football and rugby union.

The BUCS conference takes place at the University of Leeds (12- 14 July)and is set to be a fantastic forum of learning and sharing with a core theme of ‘demonstrating the value of sport’. Alongside a busy daily programme of key notes and workshops there is a host of evening activity supported by our hosts at the university.
